For procurement professionals, nothing is more frustrating than finding a supplier online who sounds great on paper, only to receive products that fall far short of expectations.
That's where exhibitions become your best tool. Face-to-face meetings, hands-on inspection of products, and real technical conversations are far more effective than browsing hundreds of web pages.
Below are several must-visit mold and plastics exhibitions both in China and internationally. We've also included our company's exhibition information—welcome to visit us onsite.

CHINAPLAS is a bellwether for the global plastics and rubber industry, featuring over 4,000 exhibitors and nearly 300,000 visitors. You can see the entire industry chain, from raw materials and injection molding machines to molds and automation equipment. If you want to get a comprehensive view of the latest technologies and supplier capabilities, this is your best choice.

Location : National Exhibition and Convention Center, Shanghai
Time : June annually
Highlights : The most professional mold exhibition in China, with a high concentration of mold companies
Audience : Mold procurement, mold designers, factory managers
If you are specifically looking for mold suppliers, DMC is more focused than CHINAPLAS. There are almost no raw material suppliers or auxiliary equipment manufacturers here—just mold companies. You can visit dozens of mold manufacturers in a single day with great efficiency.
What to look for onsite : Examine each company's steel selection and cooling channel design. Look at their solutions for complex molds such as two-shot molds, stack molds, and high-gloss molds. Also explore suppliers of mold standard parts and hot runner systems.
Location : China Import and Export Fair Complex, Guangzhou
Time : March annually
Highlights : A bellwether for the mold industry in South China
Audience : Mold procurement and product development professionals in the Pearl River Delta region
South China is one of the most concentrated regions for China's mold industry. Asiamold leverages this industrial advantage and brings together a large number of high-quality local mold companies. The exhibition tends to be smaller and more focused, making it ideal for procurement professionals in the Pearl River Delta to conduct nearby evaluations.
What to look for onsite : Focus on evaluating the machining capabilities of mold factories in South China. Pay attention to applications of 3D printing in mold manufacturing. Also look out for exhibitors specializing in precision molds and micro molds.
Location : NEC Birmingham, United Kingdom
Time : June 2-4, 2026
Highlights : The largest and most influential plastics industry event in the UK
Audience : Procurement professionals targeting the European market, suppliers looking to expand overseas
Interplas is the only professional plastics exhibition in the UK, held every three years. It brings together suppliers of plastics machinery, molds, materials, and automation solutions from around the world. If you are targeting the UK or European market, this is an excellent platform for sourcing and networking.

How to Make the Most of Exhibitions: 4 Practical TipsSimply attending exhibitions isn't enough. How do you efficiently identify reliable suppliers? Remember these four tips.
Tip One: Do Your Homework in Advance
One week before the exhibition, download the exhibitor list from the official website. Identify 10 to 15 target exhibitors and prioritize them. Prepare a list of questions to ask, covering topics such as steel type, precision, lead time, and similar case studies.
Tip Two: Look at the Details
Carefully inspect product samples. Are the parting lines smooth? Is there any flash? Examine surface finishes—are they polished, textured, or produced by EDM? Assess the level of craftsmanship. Also observe whether the booth is tidy and how the staff present themselves.
Tip Three: Ask the Right Questions
Don't ask meaningless questions like "Is your work good?" Instead, ask: What steel did you use for this mold? What hardness did you achieve through heat treatment? What is the wall thickness of this part? How did you control shrinkage? What is the most complex mold you have ever built?
Tip Four: Collect Business Cards and Take Notes
Immediately after each conversation, make a note on the back of the business card: Category A for follow-up priority, Category B for backup, Category C for not suitable. Take photos of interesting product samples and note the booth number and company name. Within one week after the exhibition, proactively contact Category A suppliers to arrange further discussions.
Exhibitions are an efficient platform for screening suppliers, but the final decision depends on a factory's actual capabilities. No matter how well a conversation goes at an exhibition, you must schedule an onsite factory visit.
